about

Jodi Arlyn is a New York City-based singer/songwriter who believes in the power of a pop song.

Her debut album, Stars up on the Ceiling, is a collection of adult-contemporary pop tunes whose elegant simplicity is sure to resonate with listeners who appreciate clever melodies and memorable lyrical hooks.

The 8-song album was produced by singer/songwriter Adrian Harpham, and features musicians John Deley (Dido, The Weepies) on keys, Robin Macatangay (Morley, Kelli Sae, Holly Palmer, Hamilton) on guitars, Jonathan Maron (Groove Collective, MeShell Ndegeocello) on bass, and Harpham (Amel Larrieux, Robin McKelle, Patti Rothberg) on drums.

Harpham’s lush, creative arrangements pay homage to the classic artistry of Bacharach & David, Brian Wilson, and Tapestry-era Carole King, and Arlyn’s voice has been favorably compared to singers Amy Grant, Diana Krall, Dusty Springfield, and Barbara Streisand. Singing about the familiar themes of love and loss, Arlyn’s warm sound is playful and comforting. She knows what you’re feeling – she’s been there too – and she encourages you to sing along.
